Monique is a wife, mother, and grandmother.  Monique grew up on the East Coast and joined the US Air Force shortly after high school, serving for 7 years as an Electronics Technician.  After several more years working in the high-tech industry, she left the workforce to raise her family.  Today, she works once again in the high-tech industry in the area of Engineering Data Management.

Monique has a love of learning and seeks to instill that love in all the people she encounters. Education is a critical part to success in life. She believes we need to provide our children, our students, that which they need to be successful.  Monique believes students also need to be taught the importance of giving back to their communities, to share their talents with others.

Volunteering is an important part of her life.  She volunteers in teaching Bible class to young children and adults, mentoring teens, and young adults. Monique has also spent many hours tutoring kids in math. Monique has also been a Washington County Sheriff’s office volunteer since 2015. She has also volunteered with the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts in years past.

In her downtime, she enjoys reading and sewing.
